This is Cabernet Sauvignon, but not like you know it. Muke is a natural red from the western edge of Sicily, grown near Marsala and bottled with nothing but the organic grapes.

It’s wild and sun-drenched. Ripe plum, black cherry, dried herbs and just a hint of sea spray. The tannins are there but they’re loose, wrapped in generous fruit and earthy charm. No oak, no filtration, no rush.

Vincenzo Angileri at Viteadovest makes wine that speaks in dialect. It’s Cabernet with a Sicilian accent. A little wilder, a little looser, but still grounded in place and purpose.

Natural farming, spontaneous ferment, nothing added. Muke feels handmade in the best way. If you’ve only known Cab as big and glossy, this is a welcome detour. Rustic, honest, and quietly powerful. Serve it with something slow-cooked and salty. Or just open it and see where it goes.
