In Sicilian dialect, sciare are the lava flows that cut across the slopes of Etna, and ‘Sciare Vive’ pays tribute to the living volcano that shapes every bottle. This rosato comes from Nerello Mascalese grown at 600 metres on the volcanic soils of Castiglione di Sicilia, on Etna's north side.

The grapes spend just 5 hours on their skins, picking up a delicate salmon pink colour, before fermenting spontaneously. The wine then ages for 5 months in stainless steel, keeping it fresh, pure and vibrant.

Expect wild strawberry, cherry and blood orange, with pink grapefruit, a hint of dried herbs and a saline, mineral finish that speaks of its volcanic home. Dry, crisp and textured, with more depth and savoury character than your average rosé.

A serious rosato with real sense of place, and a brilliant introduction to the wines of Etna.

Serve well chilled (8-10°C) with crudo, grilled prawns, arancini, caponata or a summer seafood spread.
