Senzaniente means “without anything”, and though this is a reference to chemical intervention it doesn’t extend to the character of the vineyard, the winemaker or the wine itself. Full of life and texture here. Montelpulciano can be a fall back wine we ask for, something easy, but this is one that will have you thinking. Rich black fruit, like blackberries foraged from a dark forest, fresh soil, winter spices and a generous lick of acidity. It’ll leave a mark on you, in the nicest way. Before Marina Palusci (fourth generation) made a name for itself in winemaking it was famous for producing world-renowned olive oil, which often ended up in the kitchens and on the tables at Michelin-star restaurants around the world.
